Women Author’s 2022 Wrap Up

In 2022, I read 229 books by women authors, with 172 by Australian women. I read as diversely as I could, with the majority of my books being ones I was sent to review or chose to read. I usually stick to authors, series, or genres I know, with a focus on children’s authors to give that readership some more attention. I read a wide range of stories across all age ranges and found that there were too many standouts to choose a top ten or even do a top reads post – I find it hard to narrow this down so some years I might skip it. I read lots of interesting ones this year and am keen to see what the Pages and Co and Ella at Eden series bring this year. In 2023, I am going to continue to focus on books by women, in particular books by Australian women and books for younger readers. And hope to get as many reviews up as possible.
