Mim Cohen roams the world in a travelling bookshop, with her dad and brother and a horse called Flossy. Flossy leads them where she will, to the place where they’re needed most … the place where the perfect book will find its way home.
Now Mim has arrived on a charming Greek Island, where a wedding is about to take place. Everyone is excited – everyone, that is, except the bride and groom.
Mim knows they’re here to help Anjelica, the bride. To stop the wedding. To set her free to follow her dreams.
If only Anjelica would read the right book, the one Mim gave her. If only she would stop reading the wrong book.
From award-winning author Katrina Nannestad and beloved illustrator Cheryl Orsini comes an enchanting series for young readers.
~*~
Mim and her family are off to Greece with their travelling bookshop! Someone needs them on the little Greek island. They find Anjelica and Stavros, who are getting married soon. But Mim senses that Anjelica’s heart might not be in it, and her father is determined to give everyone books that they don’t ask for, but rather, that the bookshop says they need. Mim wishes he’d give them the books that they ask for, though. But Mim and her father are there for a reason – to help Anjelica and Stavros – is it to stop the woeful wedding? Or can Mim help Stavros and Anjelica follow their dreams and their hearts?
The second in this wonderful series that is a celebration of a love of books and words sweeps us into Greece, where we make new friends as Mim, her father, Zeddy, and her brother Nat, collect words and letters as they seek to help people with their caravan that is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside – and the magic in this is that nobody seems to question this or mind, they just accept it.
In Katrina Nannestad’s new story, acceptance, and belief in yourself are strong themes, as are following your dreams and working towards new goals individually and when you work together, and the power of this – what it means to be part of a supportive community and accepting world that allows everyone to be themselves and works towards bringing everyone together in fun and creative ways.

Mim loves to collect words, whilst her brother, Nat, collects letters. In this book, he is obsessed with the letter X, and collects every X he can find – a Scrabble tile, cross stitches, Xs from menus, and he puts them in his special box and everywhere he can. The quirkiness of these characters shines through and reassures readers of all ages that being yourself and following your dreams, liking what you like – is all okay, because it is important to be who you are and not just be like everyone else because you think it is what they want from you.
Katrina Nannestad has such a gift – she can write funny books, riveting historical fiction books, and emotionally-charged books that break your heart and give you hope at the same time, and she has a different style for each story, which allows them to stand out vibrantly and engage with the right readers for those books. This is a fabulous series that kids who love books will adore, and I am totally in love with it as a book lover myself. They feel like an adventure and home at the same time, and I look forward to the next one!
Anyone who can bring words and books to life like this is fantastic, and there are so many ways that stories come to life these days, it is so hard to choose a favourite style, and with the diversity and broad spectrum of stories around these days, reading is having a very fun and exciting time, and I love seeing all the new stories that are coming out.
Another excellent book!
