I completed this challenge in about February but have only just managed to sit down and write this post amidst all my other reviewing. As usual, I started on the Kangaroo level, and progressed to Emu, and well beyond that. My reasoning for doing this is because even though I always know I’ll have as many Aussie Authors as possible to read over the year, I’m more likely to read more Australian women authors than Australian men authors. Usually, the men come to me through review or quiz books, and as I’m never one hundred percent sure how many I’ll get, I tend to be conservative in this challenge, so I don’t overestimate myself in this challenge.

As a general rule, I focus on Australian women authors and women authors in general. This year, my lists were made up of review books, quiz books, and books I chose – and there are more to come. So I’ll do a final wrap-up post at the end of the year as well with my final numbers and completed linked reviews, as some of the books are not out yet. So far, I have managed to read 31 new authors – and there will be many more by the end of the year.

So here’s my completed (sort of) challenge, at least in terms of the levels. I will continue reading and reviewing throughout the year though.
