I read 30 books by non-Australian women in 2024 – these authors came from all over the world, and some were translated, whilst others I had to do some research to determine where they’d fit into, because not every author’s biography tells you where they live. I tried to be as diverse as possible, but… Continue reading Non-Australian Women Read in 2024

Indigenous Authors 2024
During 2024, I also tried to read more Indigenous authors, and the ones that came my way had a lot to do with books I was aware of and books I was able to get or had on my shelf. There are many more Indigenous authors, of course, and some may not write in a… Continue reading Indigenous Authors 2024
Books by Australian Men 2024
Another category I split my reading into was gender, to see how it broke down into men and women, as my focus has often been on promoting Australian women writers over the past few years, to try and bolster the voices of those who are not as popular or given as much attention as popular… Continue reading Books by Australian Men 2024
Non-Australian Authors 2024
In 2024, I did my best to work out how my complete totals broke down into various categories. No limitations other than what I had, bought, was given as a gift or sent for review, so… Continue reading Non-Australian Authors 2024
December 2024 Reading Round Up
In December, I read 27 books for review and literary judging, and most of them were by Australian women. Aussie YA Challenge Completed
One of the challenges I took part in this year was the #AussieYAChallenge, hosted by Amy at Lost in a Good Book. I ended… Continue reading Aussie YA Challenge Completed
2024 Dymocks Reading Challenge Completed for real this time
Well, when it came to the end of October, we all thought the Dymocks Reading Challenge was ending with Dessert. It was a satisfying ending too, and yet, when the Christmas Leftovers prompts that allowed me to add a few more in, albeit one that I had months ago in a pinch as I was… Continue reading 2024 Dymocks Reading Challenge Completed for real this time
Dymocks Reading Challenge: Christmas Leftovers
Christmas Leftovers Just when we thought it was over in October, Dymocks surprised us with four more prompts for November and December to wrap up the year. I had to be sneaky though, and use a previously read book for the Book of the Year prompt as I was running out of time, and the… Continue reading Dymocks Reading Challenge: Christmas Leftovers
