In December, I read 27 books for review and literary judging, and most of them were by Australian women. I finished all but one book – and I definitely struggled with that one because I wasn’t getting a sense of what the story was meant to be about, and I felt that what it was supposed to be promising me was lacking. That said, I did enjoy many of the other books, with at least one other that I wasn’t completely sold on, but that had a solid premise and at least delivered on what I expected. I ended the year with one of my favourite vampires, Solomon Macaroni and his mischievous prankster cousins and Uncle Dracula. With that, I have completed my 2024 reading and will be heading in 2025 with many more books.
