Flossy leads them where she will, to the place where they’re needed most … the place where the perfect book will find its way home.
Now Mim has arrived in thrilling Norway — the land of mountains and fjords, Vikings and trolls, friendly folk and cuddly sheep, and one super-greedy apple thief. Norbert the fruit farmer is desperate. If the thief is not stopped, his farming days will end.
Mim knows they’re here to help Norbert. To solve the mystery of the vanishing apples. To save the farm.
If only Mim could find Norbert the right book. If only Dad would stop giving everyone the wrong book.
The entrancing new adventure from award-winning author Katrina Nannestad and beloved illustrator Cheryl Orsini.

Join Mim, Zeddy and Nat on their final adventure for the series in Norway. It’s a land of fjords, Vikings, trolls and lots of friendly people. And a greedy apple thief. Norbert is at a loss, because someone keeps stealing his apples, and he has no leads. Knud, Astrid and Gustav also need help. They’re not sure what they’re meant to be doing, and it seems that the only way is for the bookshop to give them the books they need, not the books they want.
Mim still misses her mum, Julia. She’s still in Vienna, doing her job, and trying to remember her family. But that’s something Mim has no control over. Right now, she needs to help the people in Norway. It explores community and family, showing that working together is what makes this book so delightful. Everyone is there to help, everyone is there to make life fun, and they all indulge Nat’s joy and beliefs about trolls, elves and underwear. And they accept his friendship with a wolf.
For Mim, who collects words and is caught between being a child, the magic of their home and wanting people to find the right book they want, in this final book will bring everything she has been talking about, exploring and questioning together during her sojourn in Norway. Not only does the book explore Mim and her emotions, but like every other book in the series, it explores a country and a culture that is different to what readers may know or have been exposed to.
Norway is the latest stop, and the last stop in this series, and it comes to life as Mim and her family explore it, and learn about its traditions whilst bringing stories to life in the small community Flossy has led them to. It’s been a fun series to read, and I have been following it since the beginning, so I’ve loved seeing how it all works and builds on each other. I also loved suspending belief in how they got around, because it just worked so well. It was done in a way that was magical and intriguing, and yes, at times, I did wonder a few things about the travel, like crossing waterways. I believe that was explained in an earlier book. But that’s the beauty of this series. You can make it all up for yourself, and the magic means that wherever they are, the bookshop and their language adapts and changes.
It’s a joyful series, and one that is well-worth reading in order. I have loved going on this journey with Mim, and can imagine her having many happy adventures beyond the series.
