I only read eleven books in November – part of that time was spent writing and part of that time spent writing lots of reviews and working hard on a quiz, so my focus was very split last month, so I am hoping December allows me to catch up and get through those final books and wrap up my Australian Women Writer’s challenge and my QBD Challenge. I also spent a bit more time with some of the longer books and allowed the complexities to emerge. Heading into December, as I write this post, I am only a few books behind in my reviews, and have been largely focusing on the books I buy and the books I request, as well as largely focusing on Australian authors. I’ve been doing this to give more space to Australian voices – as many as I can and as diversely as I can, based on what I can access and what is on my shelf. I’ve also reduced the books I don’t request but still arrive so I can focus on what I really like – and will read the ones that do appear that appeal to me, but if I am in two minds, I will set it aside.
So with a few things to chip away at, I hope I can make it!
