One of the reading challenges I undertook this year was a book bingo from a friend – KT Book Bingo. I had all but completed it until I found a book set in South America. I had tried to find one that I really wanted to read, but wasn’t able to in time and with very few accessible options, I remembered I had a copy of The Bridge Over San Luis Rey, which is set in Peru and a fairly quick read. That was possibly the toughest category to fill, given there are not that many books around set in South America, and at the same time, not many that I was able to find easily or wanted to read. I had wanted to read as a parameter in this challenge because I wanted to enjoy what I was reading, not feel like I had to read it just to fulfil something. So that’s another challenge completed for 2024!
