
The Historical Novel Society of Australia has recently announced their shortlist, which is listed below and taken from the website. The ARA Historical novel is worth $150, 000.
$100,000 will go towards the winner of the adult category, and the two shortlisted authors will get $5,000 each. The winner of the children’s and young adult category will get $30,000 and the two shortlisted authors will get $5,000 each.
This prize is open to novels that have taken place at least 50 years ago by Australian or New Zealand authors who are citizens or residents.
