Ever since 2013, people around the world have fallen in love with Frozen and its characters – Elsa, Anna, Sven, Kristoff, and the lovable snowman, Olaf. From the original movie to the sequel and the stories, Frozen and Elsa have been there for all ages, letting it go while they build a snowman. In this celebratory tenth anniversary book, several authors have come together to create this new anthology of Frozen stories, set when the characters were children, in between the two movies, and after the second movies. We get to meet their parents and encounter strange creatures, and see what Anna is like as a queen.

These stories traverse the history of Arendelle and its future as Anna and Elsa navigate memories and ruling different kingdoms and being part of different communities. Each story is its own entity, with the same array of characters popping in and out to help Elsa and Anna, and I loved that they traverse light and dark topics, all with a happy ending – because it wouldn’t be Disney without happy endings. Each original story is by a different author, some of whom will be familiar to readers from the many other Disney books that they have written for Scholastic for various series and movies, such as the Twisted Tales series, or stories set in the Frozen or Aladdin universes. Whilst each author has their own style, there is a feeling of consistency throughout, ensuring that each story not only has its own flow, but feels as though they flow into each other and are a solid part of the world of Frozen.

Each story is magical and fun, and filled with the ups and downs that we expect and know from Frozen and Disney and are short enough to read each story at a time at a good speed, capturing the joy of reading and the movies in one entity. The stories are an extension of the movies, working as well as they do because they stick to what is known about Arendelle and its inhabitants, using what the movies have told us so nothing the characters do is out of character. This makes these stories work well, and sit well within the Frozen universe.

All is Found captures the magic of the Frozen movies and allows it to continue, showing our favourite characters living and thriving in Arendelle, and I enjoyed delving in Anna and Elsa’s past, their future, and the dreams and hopes that they had for each other and Arendelle. I also enjoyed the stories that showed what has happened since the second movie, and Anna navigating being queen – bringing the stories to life in new ways for readers who love Frozen, whether they are children or adults.

This book will be loved and enjoyed by Disney and Frozen fans who want to know more about this universe.
