Books that were co-written

Another category I had a separate list for  2023 was books that were co-written – usually books written by two authors, but I have included one anthology as it had two editors, and I feel that it counts towards this, and Murder You Wrote, as each chapter had a different author. I also included these in my anthology post, as some of these lists do have a lot of cross over at times. Most of these books were by Australian authors, apart from The Night in Question and some of the short stories in anthologies.

Each of these had something different – though I did enjoy the Pride and Prejudice retelling, Stuck Up and Stupid, which had many delightful nods to the original text, and I think this is what can make a retelling effective – more of that in my full review which is linked below. Co-authored books can be interesting, as the story needs to take two or more unique voices and create something that is readable, and where the different voices don’t stand out too much, but enough if they need to for the reader to see where the points of difference are. Looking forward to seeing if any interesting ones come out in 2024.
