2023 was my year of aiming to read as many women as possible – and overall, to read as many unsung books as possible, because often these books are the ones that are the gems. I managed to read twenty-nine books by women who aren’t Australian, which went towards my goal of reading more women and more books in general by authors who might not be as hyped as other authors. Some of these books were in series I had already been reading, and others started a series that I can’t wait to continue. Some were ones that I wasn’t sure about at first, but had a decent story as well. Overall, I tried to read as diversely as possible within what I was sent, what I heard about, and what I came across too. It will be interesting to see what 2024 brings.
