In 2022, I read 283 books, and 207 were by Australian authors. 172 were by Australian women, and some of those were co-authored by men. Most books I read overall were by women – a total of 229, so I was on track with my goals to read more women and more Australian women in 2022, a goal I am going to continue into 2023. This post includes links to all my other round ups, each of which includes the relevant lists related to my reading for the year. I read 77 new Australian authors, and some new international authors. Some of my books were quiz books, whilst others I didn’t review due to time constraints or for other reasons. I focused on reviewing what I was sent to review and Australian authors, as I think Australian authors, in particular children’s authors and those who don’t win the prestigious awards or get all the attention deserve love – and I have personally found the books that often fly under the radar a little to be better than the popular ones. With that, I am entering 2023 starting my Summer Reading Challenge for Dymocks, which I will carry out over January, February, and December of 2023 – and add in extra books that come my way throughout the year. I also completed the below challenges:

Aussie Author Reading Challenge: 207/24
Dymocks Reading Challenge: 26/26
Goal: 283/150
Australian Men: 41 (Including books by two authors – 1 male and one female)
Australian: 207
Men: 61 (Including books by two authors – 1 male and one female)
Women: 229 (Including books by two authors – 1 male and one female)
