#AussieYAChallenge Update One

A tan and green background with black, orange and white text between colourful books and a black kangaroo.

Well, as I work through my reading challenges, I have an update for my #AussieYAChallenge. As of May, I have completed my chosen Nix level – 12, and some of these books cross over into middle grade as well. There are some books that can be read by anyone aged ten and older, which is why I have included them here.

The age of the characters and plots are ones that young adult readers can relate to and we need books for younger YA as well – from about twelve to fifteen, as there are many books that are aimed at older readers or that deal with older themes that some young adult readers may not be ready for.

I have two prompts left to mark off – and know which books I am going to read for those. I am going to continue this challenge throughout the next eight months to see how many more I can read, as there are some very good YA books out as well as a nice selection I am going to read for review, so those will be added as I finish them and updated when I can. Onto the next few months and the great young adult books to come.
