Dymocks Reading Challenge 2023

In 2023, the Dymocks Reading Challenge is doing something a little differently – they’re doing challenges season by season, so I’m going to give it a go and see how many books per category I can read. For summer, I have decided to start now, so I will complete it over January, February, and December 2023 – with the potential to add in extra books throughout the year if I come to it. So, not only will I have an overall series of posts for this challenge, but one for each season – one introducing the challenge and one when I complete it, hopefully towards the end of each season. So this is the layout so far – I only have my summer categories so far, and I know what my award winner book will be, with the others a little bit up in the air as some of them can be open to interpretation. What is motivational or considered a beach read for one person is different to another. The one category I may struggle with is BookTok as I don’t use TikTok and often find the books given too much attention to be disappointing or I feel like I’m only reading what everyone else reads, and therefore I have to like it. But I will try, even if it means Googling lists and potentially having to double up sometimes – as the printable list has space for four or five books per category. And now onto the challenge!
