There are quite a few shortlists and winner lists coming out lately for the book world, and it can be quite hard to know what is happening when, as there always seems to be something happening.
Readings, an independent bookstore in Melbourne has recently released their Children’s Prize Shortlist for 2024. This is a prize presented for the best new contribution to children’s books in Australia.
The shortlist for 2024 includes the following books:

Spies in the Sky by Beverley McWilliams
Batthew Aromascent and the Missing Corpse Flower (Batthew Aromascent, Book 1) by Ella Mulvey & John Roebuck
