Blasting off into space has never been more fun! Macca and Al are back, and they’re playing and drawing, and creating their own fun. They’ve been knights and divers, and everything in between. But now, they want to be astronauts and go to the moon! So, with a bit of imagination, they can go on their adventure and countdown to blast off!

The latest Macca the Alpaca book is the first without a rhyming title, but this one is such fun. Matt has delivered a fantastic story about using your imagination, craft supplies and toys to bring new worlds and stories to life. This is a powerful message in a world where every instance of boredom can be fixed by a screen. Being bored is where creativity and fun happens, and it certainly does for Macca and Al. Their next grand adventure to the moon and Mars is lots of fun!

The Macca the Alpaca books are always fun and joyful, with pops of colours that tell a story as much as the words on the page. Everything comes together in a celebration of the imagination, and as a way to encourage readers to use their imagination to play. Using these awesome characters makes it relatable as well, so children who love the books will love seeing the adventures and stories Macca and Al create.

It’s such fun using your imagination, and seeing books like Macca the Alpaca celebrate it and encourage it is awesome. I had such fun reading this latest book, and it sits well with the rest of the series. Spending time with Macca and Al is always a joy. I always look forward to a new Macca or Dharma book, and each one has brought something delightful to readers. And allows the characters to explore their interests and have fun as friends whilst also celebrating what makes each character unique. What a great addition to the series – taking the alpacas beyond earth and into the realms of space and their imaginations.
