This is the kind of story that can be shared throughout December in the lead up to Christmas, and because it forms part of a wide array of Christmas books, it’s a great one to add to the collection so you can read one every day up until Christmas! I have lots of Christmas books for December – and I’ve been able to add some awesome picture books lately that capture Christmas in so many ways, and I have lots of novels and traditional stories as well, so I feel like this is adding to my wonderful library of Christmas stories – and the creativity across all these stories is lots of fun.

I love meerkats, so seeing them in this picture book was a lot of fun and I hope that lots of people enjoy it, because I certainly did! Younger readers will hopefully get lots of joy from the bouncy rhymes and happy, sparkly, Christmas pictures, and laugh at the antics of the meerkats as they celebrate Christmas and find that the best thing about Christmas is being together and having fun – realising that not everything about Christmas has to be perfect!
