The final challenge I am taking part in this year is the Dymocks Reading Challenge. It also has fairly open categories – here, things can be interpreted in a myriad of ways. I think this makes for an effective challenge, as I can often find a way to make what I am reading work for the category, or the category is easy to find a book for, either in my collection or the review books I receive. This challenge has the added benefit of a bookseller who provides suggestions for some categories on their website, and is easily reached via social media for others.
I will be interesting to see if I fill it this year, as there seems to be an additional category – my count gave me 26 categories to fill. I won’t be stressing too much about a different book per category – but rather, will aim to fit what I can into each category, even if that means doubling up where I need to. It may also mean I have more than one book per category, but there are no plans to specifically do that.
So, as I got this challenge after I had started my reading, so far, three books have managed to fill some categories, so I’ve included them in this post where I am announcing my challenge.
