Challenge Completed – Books and Bites Bingo

books and bites game card

12th December 2020 – Another reading challenge completed! I have ticked off five out of seven reading challenges with the completion of my Books and Bites Bingo challenge. I remember with the one category, a book that got bad reviews, someone got very upset that I’d chosen the book I did – but the fact is that all books are going to have bad reviews, and not everybody will agree or will like what someone else chooses for a certain category – but I chose that one because it had bad reviews from other people. Most books in this challenge filled several other categories in other challenges, and towards the end of the year, I found myself doubling or tripling up on a lot of things because I just didn’t have the time.

What I liked about this one was that the categories were open to interpretation, and I was a able to make books fit categories. Open challenges like this where categories are not too prescriptive and that are not overly American-centric like some other challenges are entirely more pleasant to do, because there’s no pressure to find a book based on super specifics based around the author or the plot – which makes the reading experience much more stressful than it should be, so next year, I will not be doing such overly prescriptive challenges with categories that are so specific, I would either fail, or come to resent reading and I don’t want that to happen.

So below I have linked all my Books and Bites challenge posts in a nice and easy reference for everyone!
